Breakfast at the corner bar: Three little tables and a small chestnut-panelled bar counter with merchant-style inset nailheads furnish a little area where the wonderful countryside around the resort unfolds enchantingly before your eyes. This is where morning breakfast is served (in winter the view is quite breathtaking) and you can help yourself throughout the day to coffee and other drinks. It is here too that in the evening, after a day out sampling the cultural delights in town, you can enjoy a relaxing drink –or better still, in this case, treat yourself to one of the Convent’s own delicate aperitifs made with basil, nutmeg and wild fennel. Or to prolong your meal, try a glass of good red wine made strictly according to the monastery’s own tradition.
The dining room: The original welcoming shelter for horse riders, characterised by its splendid entrance archway in rough stone, is now a refined and appealing dining room. Here our guests can taste all the Convent’s home-produced supplies – meats, fruits and vegetables. Eating is completely transformed into an integrated experience of total well-being. The quality of the décor and the furnishings combines harmoniously with the pleasures of the palate to provide an aesthetic sense of relaxation. The soothing colours of the rough stone are in perfect tune with the magical silence of the surroundings woodlands. Feel your whole body receive an immediate uplift in harmony with the food – which in summer you can enjoy on the magnificent terrace looking out over the broad valley that leads to Agliano and Pompagnano
The TV room: In winter two open fireplaces and a wood-burning stove make the dining room even cosier. In one corner, in front of one of the fireplaces, a Frau armchair from the early 1900s and scattered easy chairs and sofas allow for total relaxation.
The little church converted into a library and the conference areas: The little church of St Angelo, situated right within the complex in the area at one time called the Edicola (the newsstand), was dedicated to Angelo Spinelli, descendant of a noble family from Spoleto. Now it has been transformed into a library and meeting room for a maximum of 15 people. Also available is a second and larger meeting room that can hold up to 30 people.
Facilities for children and the disabled: In the dining room a special area has been equipped for changing nappies, while high chairs are available at mealtimes. For the bedrooms, on request, there are cots with allergy-proof mattresses and latex pillows. All areas of the resort are accessible to the disabled; there are special amenities in the dining room and two suites with adapted toilets.
